Transcity has planned this work in an effort to minimise impacts to Anzac Park and to pedestrians and cyclists.

The work to install the pipe will be undertaken from early May for approximately four weeks. During this time, the work will be undertaken in 60 metre sections, which will be backfilled or covered each day.

Work being undertaken in the vicinity of the bikepath has been planned to only occur between 8.30am-4.00pm to ensure minimal impact to cycling commuters. As the work is predominantly adjacent to the bike and pedestrian paths, it is very unlikely that a cyclist will be required to dismount. Although a dismount is not likely, we have included this in the notification to ensure we have communicated a ‘worst case scenario’. Should such an occasion occur, Traffic Control officers will aim to give priority to cyclists where possible.
