Airport Link residents win battle against noise
PEOPLE power has delivered a win for residents tormented by round-the-clock construction noise from the Airport Link, but many fear it is too little, too late. HERE
Located since 1916 on the corner of Wool Street and Dean Street, Toowong, and Mt Coot-tha Road, Mt Coot-tha, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. ANZAC Park is opposite the Toowong Cemetery and opposite the Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-tha, which is linked by the Toowong Bike and Pedestrian Overpass. It is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, ANZAC parks in the world - a war memorial and a green space for everyone.

Let's hope the residents of Toowong are given more consideration during the Legacy Way project.
Tunnel noise not on: Ombudsman
The state government has failed to protect residents in Brisbane’s northern suburbs from excessive noise during the construction of the Airport Link Tunnel, the Queensland Ombudsman has found.
Ombudsman Phil Clarke today tabled his report, The Airport Link Project: An Investigation Into Complaints About Night-Time Surface Work, in State Parliament.
Mr Clarke said there were inadequate guidelines for noise on the project, run by Thiess John Holland, and that existing ones were poorly policed amid confusion over which government agency was responsible. Read the full story HERE

Kalinga Wooloowin Residents Association (KWRA) represents residents impacted by the Airport Link Project and made the complaint to the Ombudsman.
